Today marks the end of an era! GWC Associate Director Elizabeth Bowen has been on the director staff of the Graduate Writing Center since its founding and supported the University Writing Center as assistant director for many years before that. Her experience, insight, and commitment to kindness and connection have helped make the Writing Centers of Texas Tech what they are today. Please add your warmest congratulations and well wishes as she retires at the end of this semester.

The Writing Centers of Texas Tech will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday until Monday, December 1. We will also be closed for consultations on Thursday, December 4 for Independent Study Day.

Finals week, we will offer consultations on December 5, 8, & 9.

The Writing Centers of Texas Tech will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. The centers will offer asynchronous online appointments on Monday the 7th and will resume normal hours on Tuesday the 8th.

The Writing Centers of Texas Tech will be closed all day tomorrow, the 19th of June, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. The Writing Centers will reopen and resume hours as usual on Friday, June 20th. See you then!
