They provide and coordinate services for people with a wide range of physical and psychiatric disabilities, chronic conditions or diseases, and social disabilities. Clinical rehabilitation counselors also work with employers to increase their understanding of how disabilities fit into the workplace.
The Master of Science in ( ) program is a fully online graduate program designed to provide comprehensive training for the rehabilitation counseling field. Clinical education is an important component of our program and students are required to complete a practicum and internship under the supervision of an experienced professional in the field. The Master of Science in is a one-year, on-campus degree program where you will learn how to perform clinical genetic analysis of human and develop a strong clinical background in our state-of-the-art facilities.
The 12-month sequential program begins in the summer and includes 39 credit hours of classroom, laboratory, and research experience and three credit hours of clinical experience. The clinical component is structured to provide you with skills and practice in diagnostic techniques, quality assurance, and interpreting and reporting patient results. Do you have a project, innovation, or discovery that could help improve cancer care in rural communities? The Rural Cancer Collaborative (RCC) invites students, residents, fellows, faculty, staff and trainees across TTUHSC and partner campuses to submit poster abstracts for the Rural Oncology Care Symposium (ROCS) being held on September 11, 2026. Projects may include basic, translational, clinical, population health, community engagement, quality improvement, clinical trial, or early-stage concept development activities!
