A beloved tradition in their family is Thanksgiving, when all of their family gets together. Their advice for fellow Red Raider families is to follow the Texas Tech Facebook/Instagram accounts to see all of the excitement! They also shared that the Red Raider Family Network and emails have been a valuable resource throughout their journey.

A beloved tradition in their family is their beach vacations. Their advice for fellow Red Raider families is to access the Red Raider Family Newsletter and attend Red Raider Family Webinars because the staff is very knowledgeable and concise on how your Red Raider can succeed. They also shared that the Raiderlink website has been a valuable resource for their twins.

Internships can be a valuable stepping stone in your student’s career development. They offer hands-on experience, opportunities to build professional connections, and greater clarity about future career paths. However, they can also introduce financial challenges that are easy to overlook.

One common challenge is the cost of maintaining two residences at once. Many students sign 12 month leases, meaning they must continue paying rent in Lubbock while also covering housing near their internship location. These overlapping expenses can add up quickly, creating unexpected financial strain for both students and their families.

Their favorite experiences at Texas Tech are attending the football and basketball games together!🏈🏀 A beloved tradition in their family is their annual ski trip to Angel Fire, NM!⛷🚠 Their advice for fellow Red Raider families is to let the students be adults. They will stumble and make mistakes, but it is in those moments that they learn the most, mature, and truly grow. ☺️They also shared that The Learning Center and Raider Success Hub have been helpful resources for their family!
