Happy ! This week, we’re honored to feature The Childress Family! They said that their favorite experiences at Texas Tech are the Family Weekends because they are so much fun! A beloved tradition in their family is enjoying the holidays together. Their advice for fellow Red Raider families is that college life is stressful, so make sure your student knows you are there for them. They also shared that the Military and Veterans Programs at Texas Tech are great resources!

Can you believe the first week of Fall 2026 is already over?? During move-in last weekend, we asked some of our Red Raider families to share a few words of encouragment (and perhaps a little family sass 😜) with their Red Raider as the semester kicked off. Here's to a wonderful fall semester!

Thank you to Texas Tech Athletics, Texas Tech University Hospitality Services, Red to Black, Texas Tech University Student Business Services, TTU Financial Aid, TTU Student Health , the Texas Tech Credit Union, Texas Tech Police Department, and University Recreation for coming out to visit with families as they moved their kids into their new home! Thanks to our very own Parent & Family Relations Think Tank and the Texas Tech Parents Association for answering questions about Family Weekend. We can't wait to see everyone there!

Happy ! This week, we’re honored to feature The Reyna Family! Their favorite Texas Tech experience was getting to attend their very first TTU college football game with their daughter. They added that watching their daughter experience all of the traditions is an amazing feeling as parents. A beloved tradition in their family is going out to eat and enjoying a nice meal together. Their advice for fellow Red Raider families is to take it one day at a time and trust in your student. They also shared that the Red Raider Family Network has been a valuable resource for their family!
