Good evening! It's Hat Week again at LHS. Please remember that student participation is critical to this fundraiser. You can pay $1 per day or pay $5 for the week. See Mrs. Moss for your stickers!

Today at Littlefield Primary, an event that was supposed to be school wide turned into a community activity that changed lives. The staff at the primary organized a Down Syndrome walk, and the Council got to be a part of it. Members of the community, Student Council, varsity cheerleaders, and some football players came out to join the walk.

Today, our officers attended a Leadership and Volunteer symposium in Lubbock. The girls learned about volunteer opportunities in their community and surrounding areas, listened to Vicki Clark speak, and put together care packages for the homeless. The officers learned so much, and are excited to get the community involved in their projects!

It's Hat Week at LHS! Stickers for your cap can be purchased from Mrs. Moss, stickers are $1 a day or $5 for the week. Money raised will be put into our Make a Wish fund. Student participation is very important in this fundraiser, so we hope to see lots of caps and beanies!

After 3 years of fundraising, LHS Student Council finally granted a Wish! Ian is such a happy and friendly boy, all day he played games, laughed, and enjoyed himself. He warmed up to the student body quickly, made us laugh, and warmed our hearts with his suspenders and bow tie! Ian's Wish was to stay at Great Wolf Lodge and visit an aquarium. This opportunity was such a blessing and we could not have done it without the support of the student body and community. Thank you to everyone who participated today.

We will be meeting this Thursday, May 11th, at 12:50 in Mrs. Moss' room. Please make every effort to come, this meeting will be about Make A Wish.

Today for our last trip of the school year, Student Council traveled to Lubbock. We went and volunteered at Paul's Project - Grace Campus, had lunch at the mall, and then enjoyed time at Altitude, where we played a game of dodgeball against Friona's graduating class.
