NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS - Auditions for the 2026-27 LYO Season will take place on April 26, June 13, and July 12, 2026 at the Lubbock Symphony Office (601 Ave. K, Lubbock, TX 79401). Find your audition materials and register at https://lubbockyouthorchestras.org/audition-information. The registration fee is $25, and you will receive the link to sign-up for an audition time after you have completed the registration process. We can't wait to start another great season! 🎶

KBYG: TOMORROW, MARCH 28: Echos of the New World, Music that spans generations!

The program begins with Florence Price’s Symphony No. 1, a groundbreaking work blending lush orchestration with the rich melodies of African American spirituals. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” follows with nostalgic themes of American folk music. The program concludes with the Lubbock Youth Orchestras playing the iconic theme from the TV Series Yellowstone, and Pirates of the Caribbean!

🚨 Attention LYO Students! Apply for the 2025 Concerto Competition and pay the $30 Registration Fee by Saturday, Oct. 18! Send your application form by email to Lee Schrader and Mr. Anaya, and pay the fee on our website or by check.

The annual Lubbock Youth Orchestras Concerto Competition allows LYO students to individually showcase their musicianship and receive feedback from an accomplished panel of judges, including Lubbock Symphony Orchestra Principal Musicians. The winner will receive the opportunity to perform their concerto in the LYO Spring Concert.

Join us on November 13, 2025 at 7 PM in Talkington SWYL to hear our talented students compete for the prestigious title of best concerto performance!
