Texas Tech’s season opener against Abilene Christian is just ONE week away, and we’re celebrating with one of Texas Tech University’s most recognizable traditions — The Goin’ Band from Raiderland!

Join us Saturday, September 5, beginning at 3:30 p.m. outside the Texas Tech School of Music for our Fan Band Performance Tailgate. We’ll have tacos, a performance by the best band in all the land, and plenty of Raider spirit, plus a chance to reconnect with fellow former bandmates!

The tailgate runs until the TTU Goin' Band departs for the stadium, so come early, grab a bite and get ready to Wreck ’Em!

Texas Tech University School of Art's Von Venhuizen is featured in Evermore magazine's Victory Bells.

Recently honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award from the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), Von is recognized for his dedication to design education and lasting impact on students.

This issue of Evermore celebrates creativity in all its forms, from writing and painting to acting and design, and showcases the passion and excellence that Von brings to his work every day.

There’s no shortage of inspiring stories coming out of TCVPA, and this is certainly one worth celebrating.

Congratulations to Texas Tech University School of Art professor Robly Glover on receiving the Minnie Stevens Piper Professor Award, recognizing outstanding college teaching across Texas.

His dedication to mentoring students in jewelry design and metalsmithing has left a lasting impact on generations of artists. We’re proud to celebrate this well-earned honor and grateful to have Robly as a member of the TCVPA family.
