Two weeks down, and the Humanities Department/the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is off to a RUNNING start!

We kicked things off with "Donuts with Dr. Fehr," an all-department meet-and-greet with our majors and our faculty, previewing our Fall calendar of events—we have lots of interesting things planned.

Our University Writing Center student consultants spent time training for another year of helping Chaps become stronger writers and better communicators.

We watched our majors settle into move-in day, embrace meaningful chapel experiences together, and closed it all out with some good old-fashioned fun at the Get Busy Bash!

Here's to a semester full of learning experiences and community; when we say "we walk with you," we mean it.

Melanie Whiting, Lubbock Christian High School dual credit English teacher also teaches evening and online classes for LCU. Her work with her English students following up the reading of bestseller Theo of Golden gives these students an amazing experience. We’re proud of Mrs. Whiting!

Our LCU campus extends each fall to Avila, Spain. Students and professors started their second week of classes today, and they are off to a great start.

We are off to a great start! We officially "opened" the academic year in chapel today, and our new Dean introduced our faculty, new and returning.

2026 will be our best yet.

As an annual back-to-school tradition, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) welcomed incoming freshmen to our college with Friday night treats and games and a personal welcome from our staff and faculty.

We have a great group and enjoyed a fun night together. Monday, here we come!
