As we close out the 2025-2026 school year and prepare for summer FFA events, we would like to thank everyone who came out and supported our students at the Banquet!

💥 Area 8 Convention - 2 State Qualifying Speakers; Retiring Area President; CDE Sweepstakes Winner; SDE Sweepstakes Placing; MVJ Award Recipients💥

Last Monday, our members attended the Area 8 FFA Convention at Joshua High School!

📝 Here, our members competed in Area Level SDE’s, voted on Area VIII Officers and State Officer representatives from the Area, and also received our District CDE banners! Our CDE team members also received much recognition in the form of the Most Valuable Judger Award!

💙💛 Sam Reedy and the 2025-2026 Area 8 Officer Team retired their Area jackets at the convention as well! Thank you, Sam for your year of service and leadership! You served your team and the Area in a great and professional manner!

💥After a final tabulation from this year’s CDE Season, we are proud to announce that Glen Rose FFA won 1st Place: Area 8 CDE Sweepstakes!! This is a huge accomplishment, and a testament to our CDE Teams’ hard work this year, competing against FFA Chapters from 6-Man to 6A in size. 💥

Most Valuable Judger:

📝 Two students from the entire Area, in each qualifying CDE event, are selected to be the Most Valuable Judger and Honorable Mention, respectively. This award is based on the students’ performance at CDE Invitationals throughout the season, as well as the Area Contest. ⭐️💰 CONGRATULATIONS to Liam Miller for earning Reserve Grand Champion Scholar at the Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo, and a $20,000 Scholarship!!
