This Friday, 60 Mackenzie students will have the opportunity to travel by school bus to Coronado High School and experience the excitement of the Coronado Homecoming Pep Rally from 10:00–11:00 AM! ❤️🖤💛

Mackenzie students and staff are invited to participate in the following spirit days while continuing to follow campus dress expectations:

🌺 WEDNESDAY – SURF’S UP!

Wear a Hawaiian shirt with khaki bottoms!

📣 Mackenzie Athletics and Cheer will also participate in the Coronado Homecoming Parade from 6:00–7:00 PM!

🌲 THURSDAY – HUNT DOWN THE PANTHERS!

Wear a camo top with khaki bottoms!

🔴 FRIDAY – RED OUT!

Wear a RED top with khaki bottoms as we send our Mustangs into Homecoming Friday covered in RED!

Select students will also participate in the Coronado Homecoming Pep Rally from 10:00–11:00 AM!

Today, we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and determination of the people who help make our schools, families, and communities stronger every day.

What an awesome night for our Mackenzie Raiders!

Yesterday, our 7th and 8th grade football student-athletes had the opportunity to participate in Meet the Future Mustangs during the Coronado vs. Lubbock High football game! Our Raiders took part in pregame activities, experienced the excitement of Friday night football, and were featured on the stadium scoreboard! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of these young men and loved seeing them represent Mackenzie Middle School on the big stage.

These experiences are about more than football—they give our students a chance to see where they are headed, dream bigger, and know that their future is already taking shape.

Because of their outstanding attendance and commitment to SHOWING UP, our 6th graders have earned a UNIFORM-FREE DRESS DAY TODAY! 🎉

What a week for Mackenzie Middle School Cross Country!

Our Raiders hit the course and represented Mackenzie wonderfully—competing with determination, supporting one another, and showing exactly what it means to wear MACKENZIE across their chest.

Cross country isn't easy. It takes discipline, endurance, toughness, and the willingness to keep moving when your body tells you to stop. Those are qualities that reach far beyond athletics—and we are incredibly proud to see our student-athletes developing them.

To every Raider who competed this week: WE ARE PROUD OF YOU! 👏👏👏

And a huge THANK YOU to our coaches, families, and supporters who continue investing their time and energy into our student-athletes.

🏈🔥 FUTURE MUSTANG NIGHT IS COMING! 🔥🏈

Calling all Mackenzie 7th & 8th Grade Football Players! This Thursday, September 3rd, our Raiders are getting a special opportunity to experience what it feels like to be a FUTURE MUSTANG at the CHS vs. Lubbock High football game! ❤️🖤🏈

This is going to be an AWESOME night for our athletes! Our Raiders will:

📣 Be introduced on the field
📺 Have their pictures displayed on the video board
🤝 Meet and shake hands with CHS Head Football Coach Andrew Roy at midfield
🏈 Meet members of the CHS football team
🔥 RUN THROUGH THE HELMET with the high school team!

⏰ PRE-GAME SCHEDULE

5:45–6:00 PM — Middle school athletes arrive at the Southwest Band Ramp
6:20 PM — Teams line up in the South “D” area
6:35 PM — Irons, Mackenzie & McCool athletes are introduced
7:00 PM — RUN THROUGH THE HELMET! 🏈🔥
7:02 PM — National Anthem 🇺🇸

🚌 TRANSPORTATION: Both 7th and 8th grade teams will ride the bus to the event. Following the National Anthem, athletes will return by bus to Mackenzie for parent pickup unless they are staying at the game with a parent.

👨‍👩‍👦 STAYING FOR THE GAME? Parents who would like their athlete to remain with them must complete a travel release form and meet the team at the top of the band ramp closest to the scoreboard. Athletes may re-enter through Gate 2 and must have a pass.

🎟️ Parents attending the game must purchase a ticket.
👜 Clear Bag Policy is in effect.

Coach Woodberry will share additional information and instructions through SportsYou, so please be watching for those updates.

This is about more than one night under the lights. It is about giving our Raiders a glimpse of where their hard work can take them.

Yesterday evening was about so much more than football.

It was about effort. Teamwork. Pride. Growth. It was coaches investing in kids, teammates battling for one another, and families filling the stands to support our Raiders.

Our 7th and 8th grade Raiders SHOWED UP! ❤️🖤

Every practice. Every rep. Every mistake corrected. Every teammate encouraged. Every opportunity to get 1% better — it all adds up.

We aren't just building football players at Mackenzie.
