โP1 year complete ๐โโ๏ธโ Christina, a pharmacy student at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Abilene campus, was excited to complete her first year of pharmacy school! The TTUHSC-Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy offers all four years of its Doctor of Pharmacy ( ) degree from the Abilene, Amarillo and Dallas campuses, and the third and fourth years of the program are available in Lubbock.

researchers Aric Logsdon, Ph.D., and Jonathan Singer, Ph.D., recently received Junior Investigator Research Grants from the Texas Alzheimer's Research and Care Consortium (TARCC). Created by the Texas Legislature in 1999, TARCC is a Texas-funded group of experts working together across the state to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease and improve everyday care for patients.

On Memorial Day each year, a service is conducted to pay respect to Willed Body Program donors and their families. The memorial is conducted by the TTUHSC Institute of Anatomical Sciences and Willed Body Program, allowing the TTUHSC community to express gratitude for what the donors generously provide. Many students get to share meaningful momentsโnot only for education and research but how these donations open the doors to personal growth for future clinicians, who grow a newfound sense of respect and compassion for patients.

Congratulations to Maryam Zubair, M.D., a pediatrics resident with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, on receiving 3rd place in the Clinical & Research Trainees Poster Competition at the Center of Excellence in Obesity & Cardiometabolic Research Annual Meeting this month!
Dr. Zubairโs research examined obesity, PICU admission and respiratory support in children hospitalized with acute asthma exacerbations. She is mentored by Weerapong Lilitwat, M.D., associate professor of pediatrics.
