We’re thrilled to welcome novelist and place-based scholar Dr. Criseida Santos-Guevara to CMLL as the 2026–2027 Texas Tech University Charles B. Qualia Visiting Author in Residence!

Dr. Santos-Guevara is a Mexican writer whose work explores the US-Mexico borderlands and cultural memory. She’s the author of “La reinita pop no ha muerto”, “Rhyme & Reason”, and the upcoming “Un country azul para vaqueros tristes”.

Join us in celebrating her residency, which will include creative writing workshops, field trips, lectures, and more!

😃What an Amazing Day at CMLL! 😃

Today’s Mix & Mingle event was a huge success! We had a full house with so many students and participants bringing great energy and enthusiasm.

Attendees learned about the language programs we offer, enjoyed delicious pizza and popsicles, played fun games, and shared their thoughts on learning a second language.
Plus, they got the chance to win exciting prizes—stay tuned for the winners! 😉
