Private tutoring is an investment.

When it’s done correctly, you’re not simply paying someone to help your student finish tonight’s homework.

You’re investing in personalized, 1:1 time with someone who can figure out where the struggle actually begins.

At Homework Hotline Hub, our tutors have the natural ability to see the student beyond the problem.

We notice the hesitation.
We ask why and listen to the answer.
We find the skill that may have been missed two chapters (or two grade levels) ago.
And then we meet the student there.

Are we the cheapest tutoring option? Probably not.

But our goal isn’t to be the cheapest. Our goal is to make your investment count.

If your student shows up, utilizes the resources we provide, puts in the effort, and you trust us enough to do what we do - we will do everything we can to deliver results.

Because sometimes a student doesn’t need more instruction.

They need someone who knows how to SEE THEM first and the assignment second.

🎓 NEW from Homework Hotline Hub: Student Success Study Hub

College freshmen, nobody warned you that going to college also meant becoming your own secretary, scheduler, transportation coordinator, study manager AND social director. 😅

Student Success Study Hub is designed specifically for college freshmen learning how to balance college life—not just pass their classes.

📚 IT'S LEARNING HOW TO DO COLLEGE.

From September through November, the Study Hub will meet twice each month in a small-group setting.

Between meetings, students will also receive weekly phone/text check-ins for accountability, reminders, goal-setting and that occasional:

"Hey...how's that paper coming?"

We'll work on:

📚 Organizing assignments, syllabi & deadlines
📅 Building a realistic weekly schedule
✏️ Developing effective study habits
⏰ Managing time and avoiding procrastination
🧺 Balancing school, work, laundry & LIFE
👥 Making room for a social life without forgetting the assignment due at 11:59 PM
📧 Knowing when (and HOW) to communicate with professors
🗺️ And for students new to Lubbock: we're going to teach you the grid!

Because knowing how Loop 289, Slide, Quaker, University and the numbered streets work can save you some serious time.

👩🏽‍🏫 SUPPORT WITH EXPERIENCE

Student Success Study Hub is led by a certified teacher with experience supporting students with a variety of 504 Plans, IEPs and individual learning needs.

Sessions will also be facilitated by returning Texas Tech students who can provide something a textbook can't:

First-hand advice.

They've navigated freshman year.
They know the campus.
They know what they wish someone had told them.
And they can help new students learn from that experience.

AND THEN... FINALS. 😳

From November 30–December 9, Student Success Study Hub will transition into smaller Finals Week study groups designed to help students prioritize assignments, prepare for exams and finish the semester strong.

💰 FALL 2026: $149 PER STUDENT

Enrollment includes:

• 6 in-person Study Hub meetings twice monthly, September–November
• Weekly phone/text check-ins between meetings
• Organization and semester-planning resources
• Accountability and goal-setting support
• Returning college student mentors
• Finals Week small-group study opportunities

📓 OPTIONAL ADD-ON: Personal Paper Planner — $30

Yes, we love technology.

But sometimes the best way to remember what you have to do is still...

WRITE. IT. DOWN.

The optional planner will help students keep assignments, appointments, work schedules, social commitments and deadlines in ONE place while using the same organization strategies taught during Study Hub.

---

This isn't remedial tutoring.
It isn't someone doing your homework for you.

It's learning how to DO college with support while you figure it out.

📚 What Homework Hotline Hub Is Starting to Notice…

Right now, nearly 80% of the students we are tutoring need help with some form of MATH. ➗✖️➕➖

And something else caught our attention:

Most of those students are boys.

For generations, we've heard the stereotype that "boys are naturally better at math."
So why are we seeing so many boys needing additional math support?

But here's where it gets even more interesting.

📖 Sometimes a math struggle isn't just a math struggle.

Research has found that students with a math disability are more than TWICE as likely to also have a reading disability compared with students without a math disability.

Think about what today's math requires:

Read the problem.
Understand the vocabulary.
Determine what information matters.
Decide which operation to use.
Remember multiple steps.
Then solve it.

That's a LOT more than knowing multiplication facts.

We're noticing something else, too:
more students reaching for fidgets, while the classic bouncing leg, tapping foot, doodling and constant movement haven't gone anywhere.

It has us asking bigger questions:

Are we sometimes treating the academic symptom without identifying the skill underneath it?

A child who says, "I'm bad at math," may actually need help with reading comprehension, vocabulary, working memory, attention, foundational math skills or a combination of them.

That's one reason Homework Hotline Hub isn't just about getting tonight's homework finished.

We want students to understand WHY they're stuck so we can help them move forward.

Because sometimes the problem isn't Problem #12.

It's the skill Problem #12 finally exposed.
