“Run, run, as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!” Reading different stories about the gingerbread man and focusing on different vocabulary and literacy related topics makes this such a fun theme for preschoolers! Plus incorporating Gingerbread men into our play just adds to the fun!

Our local fire station came out to teach the kiddos about fire safety. We watched Mr. Tucker dress into his fire fighter gear, which we learned helps keep him safe. They told us he may look and sound different with his uniform and oxygen mask on, but Tucker is still Tucker. If we ever see a firefighter in our home or school the children learned never to run away, but to give them a hug so they can take them to safety!

Wiggling and expanding worms! Super fun summer activity to try at home, all you need is Kleenex, a pencil, and water. Cut a sheet of Kleenex in half, roll it around a pencil and push it into a bunch then carfully remove from the pencil. Let children add water by using pipets, straws, or a spoon and see what happens!

Tapping into our inner scientist to explore chemical reactions with baking soda, vinegar, glitter, and food coloring. Children were able to experiment with the colors and quantities of the different materials and observe their results. These hands on learning experiences are so fun and so important for development and learning. God gave us great minds to explore the world around us!
