CHS Mighty Mustang Band

Hello Everyone, it's that time of year! Band started on Monday!!! Every year we have students who need help purchasing shoes, shirts, and various fees. We have started a fundraiser to help offset these costs. If you would like to make a general donation, please use the link below to select which dates you would like to donate for. Ex: If you choose day 1, 2, and 3 you will be making a six dollar donation. I'm asked every year how someone can help our kids, and this is one avenue to pay it forward in some instances, or just lend a helping hand. Many of you have asked how you can help some of our CHS band/orchestra students. We have a fundraiser going for our kids to help with their fees, or upcoming trip to Orlando. Our company provided a general link to our calendar fundraiser. Any funds raised on this link will go directly to help our students who might need a little more help from their extended Coronado Band Family Thank you for all that you do for Coronado and all of our programs. 35th Annual Lubbock ISD Band Extravaganza is Tuesday, September 25! At Lowrey Field at PlainsCapital Park. 7pm. With special tribute to Doyle Gammill former Lubbock ISD Band Director and Fine Arts Director.
Tickets on sale from any band member or the Fine Arts Office.
Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $6.00 at the gate the evening of the event.

Calling any and all alumni. We are working hard to ensure that the Coronado band is accessible to all students. We have a very supportive district, but as it is in all co-curricular activities, students incur some costs. Our band fees are some of the lowest, but with our changing economy and the continued pressure on families our kids still struggle. We are reaching out to raise $60,000 to offset all of our CHS Band kids fees. Any and all contributions help. This campaign will go through the end of May and we thank you for your support!

Just spoke with Mighty Wash, when you select the competition/school, there will be a red button for the red team (woodwinds/color guard) and gold button for the gold team (brass/percussion). The red button has coronado on it, the gold button has Mustangs. Please encourage anyone and everyone to get their cars washed this month!!! Now let's go Guard!!!!

We will be dedicating the band hall in Mr. Phil Anthony's name on May 19th with a concert and dedication ceremony to begin at 7:30pm. Please plan on joining us at this event as we honor one of the many great directors who touched so many lives.

CALLING ALL PARENTS, ALUMNI, BROTHERS, SISTERS, PETS, AND ANYONE ELSE WHO CAN BE A PART!!
This past weekend the Coronado Mustang Band received straight 1st Divisions at the Region level of competition and earned the right to compete at the Area Level this Saturday at Plains Capital Park. I would like to thank each and every one of you who attended for the tremendous support, and I would like to ask for your help again this weekend. We will be competing for the chance to go to State and would like to see a "sea of red" in the stands in support of our kids. If we place in the top two we will earn the right to proceed to the State level in San Antonio. We perform promptly at 7pm and will be off the field by 7:15pm. Please talk to your students about coming out in support of a great organization. Travel time and performance should take no more than 45 minutes out of your day. Wear your jersey, CHS attire, bring signs, and lets Red Out P*P! This is a huge chance for our kids and you can help make a difference. I believe the cost is $5 for adults. Thank you for all that you do and for helping our students reach each of their goals to continue to improve upon past years. It is an honor to be a part of such a fantastic team and family!
