Texas Tech University Huckabee College of Architecture

Habitat for Humanity Lubbock held their annual Hard Hats & Heels Gala this weekend, where Dean Emeritus Jim White was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his service and dedication to the organization. This is the first time this award has been bestowed by the Lubbock Habitat chapter.

Also at the event, a collaborative effort with the Huckabee College of Architecture and Habitat for Humanity was announced. In the 2026-2027 academic year, a fourth-year studio will design and build a residential home for a family in need. Follow us on social media for more information on this project!
