Preschool learning is underway! Our friends are working hard in their learning journey as they get Kindergarten ready! But shhhh! Don’t tell them! They think they are just having fun! 🤫🤭😉

With St Patrick’s day this week we celebrated what we call Color Week all week. Each day we celebrated a different color, we all dressed in that color, learned about that color, and even ate foods that color. That part was probably the most challenging yet fun part! Here is a breakdown of what we ate this week during our rainbow week!

Red day: spaghetti, kidney beans, and strawberries
orange day: Mac n cheese, diced carrots, oranges
Yellow day: scrambled eggs, buttered toast, bananas, hash browns
Green Day/ st Patrick’s day: green peas,cheese quesadilla with Spinach tortillas, green grapes (also green Jello and a st pattys day cookie!)
Blue & purple day: Blue corn chip nachos, blueberries, blueberry muffin, and a blueberry, pear, and purple carrot purée

What fun is was to try to try some new flavors!

We made our own fishbowls to take home! This is such a fun fine motor activity!

Just a peek into some of our Valentines fun! We worked on fine motor skills, colors and color blending (red & blue make purple!) creating with faux chocolate, imaginary play and so much more!

We Love our Sweet Little Storybook Cottage where we stretch our imaginations by discovering new worlds within our story books, including listening to our favorites on our Tonie Boxes! Our puppets round out our learning while we act out old and new stories!

Gingerbread dough invitation to play! Working with dough is a great prewriting skill as it strengthens small hands and is a fun activity to also improve our fine motor skills! Our homemade gingerbread dough smelled so good, it was a great sensory experience as well. We enjoyed making “cookies”, trees, snowmen, and so much more!

It’s finally been freezing overnight here at Puddle Ducks, and that’s means it time for my most favorite sensory table of the year! Our Polar Ice Table! We love exploring and learning about all of the creatures that live in the cold and frozen waters!

Another one of our new centers is our pet Center! We have been learning all about how to care for different animals and their different habitats and needs. This center has definitely been a hit with the help of all of our new interactive friends!
