Happy Birthday, Ethan!
Today we’re celebrating someone very special at Lubbock Junior Academy! Ethan is not only an ace in sports, but also one of the most helpful and kind-hearted students you’ll meet. He carries himself with a quiet confidence, soft-spoken, respectful, and always ready to lend a hand.
And we can’t forget… his handwriting is AMAZING!
We’re so thankful to have you as part of our LJA family, Ethan. Wishing you a birthday filled with fun, laughter, and all your favorite things!

We had a great day at Caprock Canyon State Park!
It was definitely a cold start, but that didn’t stop our students from enjoying the adventure. We hiked out to Eagle Point, took in the beautiful canyon views, and even spotted bison along the way, such an exciting moment for everyone!
We spent time by the lake to rest, eat, and just enjoy being outdoors together. Along the way, students also learned about erosion and how it shapes the land around us and seeing it in real life made the lesson even more meaningful.

What a wonderful day for our LJA family!
Today our students enjoyed an amazing field trip to the Silent Wings Museum where they learned about the brave WWII glider pilots and the history behind their missions. The kids were engaged and represented LJA so well!
After the museum, we headed to Escondido Grill for lunch and it was such a blessing! And the fun surprise of the day? We saw peacocks roaming around at Escondido Grill! The students were so excited to see them up close, it definitely added a memorable touch to our trip.
We are also incredibly grateful to Pastor Raul and Gio and to all the parents who came, helped supervise, and made the day smooth and safe. We truly could not do these experiences without you.
Field trips like this bring learning to life — history, community, and fellowship all in one day.

LJA Chili, Cornbread & Dessert Cook-Off Fundraiser
What a Blessing!
What an incredible turnout at our Lubbock Junior Academy Fundraiser!
We had:
14 Chili Entries
10 Cornbread Entries
5 Dessert Entries (Kids 13 & Under!)
And here’s what made it extra special, most of our students proudly entered a dessert! We are so proud of their courage, creativity, and willingness to participate. It was such a joy seeing them excited to share what they made.
The competition was fun, the food was amazing, and the fellowship was even sweeter. Events like this remind us how blessed we are to have such a supportive school and church family.
Thank you to everyone who cooked, baked, judged, volunteered, donated, and came to support our students. Your generosity truly makes a difference at LJA.

Today at Lubbock Junior Academy, we celebrated 100 days of school—and as a special bonus, we even got to take the fun outside and play in the snow!
From counting to 100 to laughing, playing, and making sweet winter memories, it was a day full of joy, growth, and gratitude. What a fun reminder that learning happens everywhere!
We’re so proud of our students and thankful for God’s blessings over these first 100 days. Here’s to many more days of learning, faith, and fun!

Shoutout to Ms. Ianthe for teaching Art Class at Lubbock Junior Academy today! Our students had a great time learning, creating, and expressing their creativity through art.
And the fun didn’t stop there—last week we enjoyed chalk art, turning our outdoor space into a colorful gallery!
Thank you, Ms. Ianthe, for sharing your time and talent with our LJA kiddos. We appreciate you!

The last two weeks of November and the month of December have been a full and joyful season at Lubbock Junior Academy. Our students stayed engaged through hands-on learning, special activities, and experiences that strengthened both their education and our school community.
As November came to a close, we focused on gratitude through classroom lessons, Bible stories, and meaningful conversations that helped our students recognize God’s blessings. We ended the month with a special Thanksgiving luncheon, where students, families, and staff shared a meal and time together in a spirit of thankfulness and fellowship.
In December, learning extended beyond the classroom during our Dallas field trip. Students explored real-world learning at KidZania, discovered science and innovation at the Perot Museum, and enjoyed a fun, immersive experience at Bubble Planet. These experiences gave our students opportunities to learn, explore, and grow together while creating lasting memories.
The season continued with preparations and participation in our holiday program and Walk Through Bethlehem, along with festive classroom activities, seasonal art projects, and our school party and gift exchange. Through it all, students were reminded of the true meaning of the season—Jesus’ love and the joy of sharing it with others.
Thank you to our parents, families, volunteers, and church community for your continued support. Your partnership makes these experiences possible, and we are grateful for the blessing of growing, learning, and celebrating together.
