FPA, Ameriprise Financial, and CFP Board are pleased to announce the back-to-back winners of the 2023 & 2024 Financial Planning Challenge, Texas Tech University!

This competition, jointly sponsored by the three organizations, is designed to showcase the future of the financial planning profession and the tremendous talent and skill of the next generation of financial planners. This annual competition, now in its 14th year, offers students a comprehensive learning experience and allows them to develop important connections, investigate various career opportunities, and expand their understanding of the profession.

🎓 Abbott is from Whitehouse, TX and attended Texas Tech University as an undergraduate transfer student before working for the university.

✨ “I love getting to know my students and teaching them about personal finance topics. My favorite thing to hear from students is, “Wow, I wish I had taken this class sooner!” because they learn so much valuable information.”

🔴 Abbott explained that her favorite thing about teaching online is, “the accessibility and flexibility. I can provide education from anywhere, overcoming geographical barriers.”

✈️ In her free time, Abbott enjoys traveling with her family! Their next big adventure is a trip to Egypt to see the pyramids and the Dead Sea.

We recently participated in Fidelity's Investing in Y’all event where our recruitment team helped Fidelity employees grow in their careers—notably through the Professional M.S. in Personal Financial Planning degree.
