Good evening and welcome to the Northern Bedford Panther Statue page! In the coming days, you will be finding out a lot more about an idea that has been in the works for the past year. Local artist, Jason Snowberger, has worked on bringing an idea to reality and we are approaching a time to reveal this reality to everyone in our community. This idea is that we could have a Panther statue at Northern Bedford to call our own. This statue would be the centerpiece of school pride; a piece that students take pictures with on their first day of school and then again on the day of graduation. The panther statue can only become a reality with the support of the community, alumni, students, and staff. In the late 1980's the community came together to build Panther Paradise. In the early 2000's, the community once again came together to build Panther Community Stadium. Now, here we are in 2019 and we are hopeful that the community will once again come together to support and create a time piece for the Northern Bedford County School District as this project will be 100% driven by community support and funding. At the homecoming football game this Friday, September 27th, a miniature version of the statue will be available for everyone to see and we are excited for you to see what we've been working on. Eventually we hope this miniature version grows to be about 6 feet tall and 9 feet long!
