Our **Fall Nucs** are made with queens raised the previous fall — typically **September/October** — giving them time to establish and overwinter before pickup.

📅 **Pickup begins late February/early March**, weather and colony conditions permitting.

Why start with an overwintered nuc?

👑 **Young, established queen**
A queen that has already been laying and building a colony gives you a strong head start going into spring.

🥚 **Strong laying pattern = rapid buildup**
As the colony expands, you can take advantage of the spring nectar flow instead of spending the first part of the season simply getting a new package or fresh nuc established.

Seeing honey bees coming and going from a wall, attic, chimney, soffit, or other part of your home can be alarming. But simply getting rid of the visible bees may not solve the problem.

A honey bee colony can leave behind **honey, wax, comb, and debris** inside your home. 🍯🧱 If those materials aren’t properly removed, they can create a whole new set of problems.

A professional bee removal should include:
