The University of Massachusetts Lowell's College of Engineering offers a wide array of engineering programs. UMass Lowell is the only public university in Massachusetts that offers part-time Associate's and Bachelor's degree programs in Engineering Technology. Key to the success of the University’s Engineering Technology Department is its top-notch faculty and the access students have to hands-on
laboratories. As students work their way through the program building their knowledge of theory and practical applications, they form solid communication and problem solving skills that are critical to their ongoing success. Courses in the program are taught by both full-time faculty and industry professionals who are able to impart their insight and expertise in emerging technologies. Additionally, the Engineering Technology Department faculty meet each year with an industrial advisory board to discuss the latest industry trends and innovations, and to ensure that the program curricula is kept constantly up-to-date. By collaborating with industry in this capacity, the Engineering Technology Department ensures that graduating students are better prepared to handle the cutting-edge technologies they may encounter in the workplace. All of UMass Lowell's Engineering Technology bachelor’s degree programs are fully accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD, (410) 347-7700.
