Last week, our Oak Hill Cardinals participated in "Fall Family Night" with their families. Cardinals spent part of their evening playing games to practice their reading and math skills, reading to therapy dogs, and visiting with Miss Jackie from the Lowell Public Library. Some of our Cardinals even won a raffle basket or a copy of Norman’s Grand Adventure, written by author Colleen Collins, who owns one of the therapy dogs! It was a fun evening of bringing families together and watching our students enjoy the activities!

This year, we are celebrating the importance of attendance with Surprise Attendance Days! 🎉

On a randomly selected day, we will choose a class, and everyone in that class who is present will receive a small prize to celebrate being at school and ready to learn!

Last week, Mrs. Heaviland’s class was randomly selected, and they received a Taco Bell coupon and a sticker! 🌮⭐

Our fourth graders had a great day at the Grand Kankakee Marsh! They learned about our area’s history, watersheds, wildlife, and animal migration. They also got to explore the river from a canoe! They had the best time learning and making memories.

4th Grade Gets Energy Smart!

Our 4th grade students had a special visit from NIPSCO for their Energy Safe Program! Students learned about natural gas, how it is used, and important natural gas safety tips. They even got to see a hands on experiment that brought their learning to life!

Thank you, NIPSCO, for providing our students with such a fun and educational experience!
