Mill City Music Studio Policy & Values Addendum
At Mill City Music Studio, my teaching approach is carefully structured around early foundational development. For pedagogical reasons, I accept new students who are absolute beginners between the ages of 5 and 7, and I do not accept transfer students. These policies are based on long-term educational considerations, and Iām always happy to discuss the reasoning in more detail with interested families.
Mill City Music Studio is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. I do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity or expression, or family structure.
While I do not have specialized certification in teaching neurodivergent students, I have some experience working with a range of learning styles and needs. I approach each student with flexibility, respect, and openness, and I am willing to have a conversation to determine whether my studio would be a good fit.
Mill City Music Studio
I teach piano at my Lowell home studio, specializing with a Music-Learning-Theory approach.
I want my students to be šššššššš ššššššššš, fostering a love of music through audiation: thinking music with understanding. I'm Aaron Rosenberg, and I've been teaching private piano lessons locally since 2014, and started Mill City Music Studio in 2018. Prior to living in Lowell, I taught in the Roslindale and Jamaica Plain areas. I instructed class keyboard since 2003 at the University of Oregon
