St. Patrick School was founded in 1852 by Sisters of Notre Dame for the needs of the children of Irish Catholic immigrants in the Acre section of Lowell.

The Irish Cultural Committee has lost a founding member and long-time supporter of Saint Patrick Parish and Irish culture in Lowell. He will be sadly missed. "Well done good and faithful servant." Requiescat in pace, Garrett Sheehan.

Sr Mary Jean, SND- It is with much sadness we received news of the passing of Sr Mary Jean this morning. Details to follow. God rest her soul.
Update- Sister died of Covid-19. There will be no public service at this time.
