We are excited to announce that on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Lowell Community Charter Public School and the City of Lowell, in honor of Lowell’s Bicentennial, will present a screening of the 2010 Film, The Fighter, to benefit Team Micky Ward Charities.
The 2010 biographical sports drama film, The Fighter, tells the true, gritty story of Micky Ward, a blue-collar boxer from Lowell and his turbulent relationship with his his half-brother and trainer, Dicky Eklund.
A reception will be held in the lobby of the Luna Theater prior to the screening, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet Micky. The reception will feature a cash bar with snacks available at the concession stand from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The film will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Q & A session with Micky.
Tickets may be purchased using the QR code or the link on the attached flyer. Tickets are $25 or $35 each, depending on the type of seating selected at the time of purchase.
Must be 18 or older to attend due to language in the film.
