Middle School students enjoyed a fun-filled day today as we held our first ever Fall Field Day. Students created class banners, played in a dodgeball tournament and engaged in lessons that highlighted the importance of their grade-level character traits of communication, support, loyalty, vision, and leadership.

Today was a perfect day for Grade 7 to visit Patriots Place. Our 7th grade students toured the Patriots Hall of Fame and stepped into the role of management for a brand-new NFL franchise during the “Build a Team” STEM challenge.

Working with budgets, salary information, and real NFL statistics, students analyzed players’ strengths, weaknesses, and salaries to build the best possible offensive unit—all while staying within their team’s budget.

But building a franchise is about more than just players! Teams also created a team name and logo, designed their ideal stadium, and presented their decisions in a press conference to showcase their new franchise.

Our new franchises included: Hawaiian Islanders, New Mexico Mustangs, Virginian Vultures, Alaskan Icebergs, Lowell Goats, and Canadian Maple Trees.

So much collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and math went into bringing these new franchises to life!
