Elementary Field Day 2026 🏃‍♂️ 🌞 A great big thank you to Jess Velmure, Super Volunteer, and all of the parent volunteers who made this special day possible! ♥️

The 2026 Pyne Arts ELPAC Celebration of Learning was a momentous occasion that drew a large audience, highlighting students' remarkable progress in acquiring English language skills. Students were recognized for their achievement of English proficiency on the ACESS exam, as well as for most improved newcomer, citizenship, academic achievement, perseverance, and outstanding effort. The event featured a cultural food festival, a book distribution, and an introduction to a cookbook developed by Mrs. Faria's middle school students. We acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Mrs. Gervais, Ms. Nunez, Mrs. Faria, Mrs. Ricardez-Abreu, and Dr. De Sousa in making this event a success. We look forward to the next family ELPAC meeting in September. ♥️

Grade 3 had an amazing day of learning at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. 🦀 🐠

Middle School Field Day 2026! Thank you to Mr. Romanowsky for coordinating another amazing field day! Also, a shout out to Mrs. Urbine’s homeroom (grade 5/ 6 winner) and Ms. Hebert’s homeroom (grade 7/8 winner) both classes worked well collaboratively to take home the trophy! 🏆 🏆

Grade 8 Dance 2026

Thank you to our friends at Mill City Grows for inviting Pyne Arts teachers and students to participate in a garden planting party! As part of the lessons in our school garden, we learned how to prepare our garden beds and planted beets, pok choy (not bok-different), lettuce, kale, carrots, zinnias, marigolds, and more!! We can’t wait to watch our crops grow! 🌱 ☀️ 💦 🫜 🥬

The Pyne Arts Girls On The Run team wrapped up their season by completing a community impact project. The team decided to thank local first responders with cookies and cards. ♥️ 🍪 👨‍🚒 👮

This month, Pyne Arts middle school students participated in "Make Your Mark," an exciting project inviting grades 5–8 to submit design ideas for a new school mural.
All submissions were reviewed by artist Matthew Wolterding, A Beautiful Mind, and The Wavemakers (a local youth artist group). After narrowing the entries down to three finalists, the student body voted to select the winner.

Congratulations to Keira Cheam (Grade 6) for creating the winning design! Keira will now work alongside Matthew Wolterding and The Wavemakers to bring the mural to life on the school building.

This project is a wonderful collaboration between Pyne Arts, A Beautiful Mind, and Aaron’s Presents, and is partially funded by a grant from the Greater Lowell Community Foundation. We can't wait to see the final masterpiece!
