Discovery Museum

Acton, MA, October 30th, 2026, 5 – 8 p.m.
Join a special free Halloween event for children and adults with disabilities or sensory sensitivities, including those that are deaf, blind, or autistic. Enjoy a fun, friendly experience in the accessible and universally designed Discovery Museum and Discovery Wood while exploring interactive exhibits and participating in hands-on activities.
* Any family that can benefit from a limited capacity visit is welcome at this event; a medical diagnosis is not required.
* The Museum will be closed to the general public during the event. Dinner, including a gluten-free option, will be provided.
Especially for Me programs offers free admission during special hours for families and groups that would benefit from a limited capacity, sensory friendly visit. During these events, they offer accommodations that increase access to exhibits and provide an opportunity for families to network with one another in an understanding, ADA-compliant environment. Extra steps are also taken for the comfort of visitors including a designated Take-A-Break Space.

Wings for Autism®

Boston Logan Airport, November 7, 2026, 9am-12pm, with the Charles River Center of Needham. Free. A program specifically designed to support families of children with autism, creating a travel test run to help ease the stress of airline travel. By getting comfortable with the airport and flight experience without actually leaving the airport, parents and their children with special needs can gain the familiarity and confidence they need to take future trips.
* Wings for Autism® events are a “test run” through the airport boarding process–specifically designed for families who have a child with an autism spectrum disorder.
Families are able to practice:

Entering the Airport, the Check-in Process, and checking bags
Security Screening & Waiting in the Terminal
Boarding and exiting the airplane, and Preparing for Takeoff
Children and their families gain real life, air travel experience, discovering air travel is possible.

Hello pumpkin! We hope you will join us for a festive Crafternoon session this month to paint wooden jack-o'-lanterns on Wednesday, October 21 from 4-5 PM. We will also be giving each child a battery operated tea light to put in their lanterns.

Introducing Lunch Bunch: Play, Connect & Learn
Coming to WRTS Westford this November!

We're so excited to partner with Ms. Katie from Spectrum Solutions for this brand-new 6-week BCBA-led series for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers! 💙

Each week, kids will enjoy open play, a shared lunch, and structured group activities designed to build communication, social, and behavioral skills, while parents get hands-on coaching and practical support they can use every day.

📅 Tuesdays OR Thursdays: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
💰 $210/child for the full 6-week session

It's time to get spooky at the Pollard Memorial Library! Join us for a family Halloween movie and craft on Wednesday, October 7 at 2:30 PM. This program falls on a half-day at school and we will be providing popcorn and snacks while supplies last. We also will be decorating Halloween masks and making Halloween ornaments. For grades 1 - 6. *Please let us know if any children have food allergies in your family.
