Helping up at school this morning I was able to snap a quick picture of the Kindergarten Playgrounds new Sun Shade structure!
This was funded entirely by our PTO.

It really is so cool to see the funds (that we all work so hard to raise) go towards making our school even better!

**PTO Monthly Meeting**

When: Wednesday 2nd September 2026
Time: People arrive from 6pm, meeting begins at 6:30pm
Location: Lovettsville Elementary Library
(Entry to the library is on the right side of the school, the second door, the one closest to the school playground)

Mr Lani & Mr Finnerty are always there. They provide a lot of very useful insight and information about the school and school activity.

For this meeting we can also confirm that there will be childcare available.
Just waiting to confirm whether or not virtual attendance will be available.

Everybody is welcome and we would love to see you there.

Lets talk *After School Programs * or ASP

ASP is ran by the PTO, it is a selection of 8 week programs that take place straight after school for 1 hour on various days of the week.
They are taught, hosted or coached by various people including Teachers, parents, organizations.
Examples of clubs that have been on offer before are Art Club, Lego Club, Cooking Club, Soccer, Crafts, Minecraft, Taylor Swift, Little Entrepreneurs.
It is always a surprise to see what is on offer.

So a few pointers about joining ASP.
- If you are a PTO member you get early access sign up for the clubs. They sell out quick.
- If your child normally rides the bus/travels to after school care, you will need to pick up in person or arrange pick up in person when ASP has finished.

A few pointers about hosting an ASP/Volunteer opportunities.
- If you have an idea for an ASP you can apply to host your own club. Information will be sent out about this soon.
- To host your own club you will need insurance, although the benefits of being a PTO member are apparently endless because members are actually covered under the PTO insurance!
- We are also looking for a Co-Chair for the ASP. For this school year you would work with our current chair. With the intentions of becoming chair and continuing in the role alone next school year.

Last year our PTO and LES joined together to have an amazing Mural painted in the Gym (see the comments section)
It was designed and painted by the most wonderful artist at Fun Places Murals & Painting.
Our school community loved it so much that we decided to Level up even more!
Over summer break our amazing artist was back and this time she was taking on the whooooole school!
You might have seen on our story reels, the stunning, adorable, amazing artwork shared from Fun Places Murals & Painting page!
That is what she has been working on, and with the building being closed for 95% of the summer, she has been working on it in record timing!
The front office transformation is still underway, but until then you can try to spot these adorable bears around the school.
They really are incredible!

Our back to school checklist came home yesterday and everybody’s orange folders. If you didn’t get one in your folder, don’t worry it is posted below.

The calendar is a great reference for the Monthly PTO Meetings, but also it lists our PTO Hosted events. If you would like more information about any events shown on the calendar, just get in touch.
It is also a pretty safe bet that we will need volunteers to help out either on a planning committee for an event, or the day of the event. So look out on the page for sign ups or get in touch if you would like to inquire about anything!

**PTO Meeting**

The first PTO Meeting of the year will be held on 2nd September at 6:00pm in the library with the actual meeting beginning at 6:30pm.
(You can enter on the blue playground side of the school in the second door - the one closest to the playground)

**Volunteer Opportunities**

A few people have been asking about getting involved and volunteering at the school.
The Facebook group/page is definitely the best place to look.
You can also ask your child’s teacher if they need volunteers for anything in school.

**Read-a-thon**
We are looking for volunteers to be on the Read-a-Thon committee. Comment ‘READ’ below if you would like some more information on that.

**Tonight - Special Event**
Lovettsville PTO are sponsors of tonights Movie on the Green, and we have a very special guest coming to help kick things off!
MR LANI will be here everybody!
As of right now the rain is not going to stop us, all plans are still going ahead.
Let's show up and give Mr Lani a great big Lovettsville Welcome!
He will be there from 6pm - 7pm.
Our PTO Representatives will be there waiting to help with information, ice pops, glow sticks and temporary tattoos!
So lets come together for one last Movie on the Green!
