Important Reminder for Garfield Families!
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st, is Colorado's October Count Day, along with our annual Jog-A-Thon!
Why is October Count Day so important?
The state uses our student attendance on this day to determine Garfield's official per-pupil funding. Having your student at school and counted directly impacts the state funding our school receives to support teachers, classroom resources, and essential school programs!
Bonus Fun:
Students will also be getting active and running in our Jog-A-Thon tomorrow! All funds raised stay right here at Garfield to support field trips, classroom supplies, playground equipment, air conditioning, and more.
Don't forget to send your kiddos with good running shoes and water bottles, and make sure they arrive on time so every Grizzly is counted!

Last week, our 1st and 2nd graders tapped into their creativity by crafting their very own conducting batons. Today, they stepped up to the podium and learned how to lead the music! It’s amazing to see our young musicians taking charge, keeping the tempo, and bringing music to life through hands-on learning. Way to go, future conductors!

A little rain last Friday night couldn't stop the good feelings and fun times at the Garfield Fall Fest! The Fall Fest was a huge success with a great turn out and a great time had by all. Local businesses and non-profits came to share their knowledge and some goodies with our community, the Loveland Activity Trailer provided endless fun, there was face painting, the grizzly grub grab, and our own carnival games with a winner every time. Thank you PTA for putting together another great event for our school community!

Our students were put to the test in the Makerspace with a creative engineering challenge: design and build a maze that features at least one dead end!
Watch how they used critical thinking, spatial reasoning, and hands-on problem solving to map out tricky paths, test out their ideas, and bring their maze designs to life. Great job, engineers!
