Meet The MANIKEN® TORZIKEN™ Model. The human body is more than a collection of individual systems—it's a complex network of structures working together.

The MANIKEN® TORZIKEN™ Model gives students a unique perspective by allowing them to build and explore the internal body systems of the head, thorax, and abdomen using clay. Its coronal (frontal) cross-sectional design provides a clear view of the cranial, thoracic, and abdominal cavities, helping learners better understand how anatomical structures are organized and how they relate to one another.

Whether used as a stand-alone learning tool or alongside a classroom set of MANIKEN® models, the TORZIKEN™ Model encourages students to move beyond memorization and develop a deeper, three-dimensional understanding of anatomy and physiology. It's an excellent resource for anatomy, physiology, biology, and health science classrooms of all levels.

When students build with their hands, they don't just identify anatomy—they discover how the body is connected, layer by layer.

Throwback Thursday! Every great idea starts with one person who sees learning differently.

This Throwback Thursday takes us back to founder Jon Zahourek, whose passion for hands-on learning transformed the way anatomy is taught. Long before active learning became a classroom buzzword, Jon was proving that when students build anatomy with their own hands, they don’t just memorize it—they truly understand it.

Today, that same vision lives on in classrooms, universities, healthcare programs, and professional development workshops around the world.
The tools have evolved. The community has grown. But the mission has never changed:
The Mind Cannot Forget What the Hands Have Learned.™

Thank you to every educator who has been part of this journey—and to those just beginning to discover the power of learning Anatomy In Clay.

There's something different about learning when you build it with your own hands.

In this video, Brandee Gillham shares how the Anatomy in Clay® Learning System transforms the way students understand anatomy. By moving beyond memorization and engaging students in a hands-on learning experience, complex concepts become easier to visualize, understand, and retain.

With a background in anatomy education and years of experience teaching learners of all ages, Brandee has seen firsthand how active participation leads to deeper understanding and lasting knowledge.

🎥 Watch as she explains why building anatomy in clay helps students make meaningful connections that stick long after the lesson is over.

Because the mind cannot forget what the hands have learned.™
