When electronic problems, delays, and strange coincidences pile up, it’s easy to assume you’re being blocked.

But what if the interruption isn’t telling you to stop? It may be asking you to slow down, become centered, and choose your next step clearly.

Are you being blocked—or redirected?

Have you ever stayed in a conversation because ending it felt rude—then replayed it for hours afterward?

Sometimes empaths need shorter conversations and more processing time. Saying, “I need time to think about this,” isn’t impolite. It’s an emotional boundary that allows you to hear your own thoughts again.

Do you give yourself permission to pause?

Did yesterday feel emotionally intense for no obvious reason?

Around noon, I suddenly felt agitated. Overnight, I had vivid dreams about resolving old emotional issues and woke up around midnight and again around three.

This morning, old relationship stuff and even some money concerns were suddenly on my mind.

When I checked the Schumann Resonance chart, there was activity showing during those same time periods. Later, as the chart settled down, my day felt steadier too.

I’m not saying the Schumann Resonance caused it — but when my own experience and the timing line up like this, I pay attention.

Did you notice anything unusual emotionally, mentally, or energetically?

Have you ever been told you’re too sensitive? Empaths often notice shifts in energy, need time alone after groups, replay conversations, feel unspoken tension, and carry emotions that aren’t theirs.

Your sensitivity isn’t the problem. The skill is learning what belongs to you—and what doesn’t.

Which trait feels most familiar?

Have you become the unofficial manager of everyone else’s emotions?

When someone is upset, do you soften your words, change your plans, or immediately try to make them feel better—even when you haven’t done anything wrong?

Many empaths and highly sensitive people learned that keeping everyone comfortable was their responsibility. But you can care about someone’s feelings without abandoning yourself to change them.

The next time tension rises, ask yourself: “Is this actually mine to fix?”

Have you ever caught yourself managing the emotions in the room?

Have you ever wondered about that little voice in your head… The one that sounds like you? The one that might offer you great advice that you don’t follow. It just might be that Angel, that spirit guide, gently nudging you in the right direction.

Keeping the peace may be why you never feel peaceful.

Do you enter family gatherings watching for who might get upset—and somehow preventing it becomes your job?

Empaths often become family peacekeepers, absorbing tension before anyone asks. But peace that requires you to disappear isn’t peace.

Do you leave family gatherings feeling completely drained?

Sometimes it isn’t the gathering itself. You may be monitoring everyone’s moods, absorbing their emotions, and quietly working to keep the entire family comfortable.

That’s a tremendous amount of emotional labor.

You can love your family without carrying everyone’s feelings home with you. Before your next gathering, pause and ask: “What am I feeling—and what belongs to someone else?”

I’m Deanna Gloyd, the Empath’s Akashic Records Mentor. I help sensitive people strengthen their emotional boundaries, understand their energy, and trust their intuition.

Do you feel guilty setting boundaries with your family—even when saying yes leaves you emotionally drained?

Many empaths were taught that keeping the family comfortable was their responsibility. But guilt doesn’t always mean you’re doing something wrong. Sometimes it means you’re finally doing something different.

Ask yourself: “Am I actually hurting someone—or am I simply no longer abandoning myself to keep them comfortable?”

You’re allowed to love your family and still protect your peace.

Does this question hit home for you?

Do you dread being around certain family members… even when you love them?

Sometimes it isn’t that you don’t want to see them. Your body already knows how much energy it takes to be around them.

You may start watching everyone’s mood, adjusting yourself, or trying to keep the peace before anything has even happened.

That feeling may not be telling you to avoid your family.

It may be telling you that you need a boundary before you walk through the door.

Have you ever felt this with family?
