Clean Eating and other Healthy Shenanigans
Whole Foods, Plant Based, Eating Fun!
I used these especially Aveeno. I switched to clean products in my early 30s when I also adopted a Whole Food Plant Based Diet. For the past 25 years purchase clean products that are not made in the United States.
I still have had to fight inflammation. I eat organic, I avoid processed sugar, I am a practitioner of wellness but I still struggle with certain symptoms.
When I leave the United States, my inflammation goes away!!

Garden Shenanigans. Then (9years ago), and now, instant greenhouse.
Costs nothing and does the trick.
I used to think it was expensive to have a garden.
Buying all the stuff you think you need from the nursery when you can have a neighbor donate what they are not using (the little fencing around our garden that disappears in photos).
A greenhouse to start early. Just use the area in your home that gets the most light to keep plants safe from before last frost.
After you have your garden painted, be sure you’re saving those yard clippings/ branches discarded from pruning to use as various areas of your yard to grow plants up after protecting plant from destruction from passersby.
Use the clippings/branches discovered from pruning as decoration around the edges of the yard, tent poles for your greenhouse made of sheets, to hang art projects from, to use as flower hangers, you name it!!!
Forget spending money on expensive nursery items, sometimes made of plastic or other material materials that are not for nature, but sometimes made of items from nature, which makes the project even that more expensive.
Do your own creative thing.
Unleash your inner garden fae. When you play in nature, create with nature, you will find that YOU are NATURE!!

Today, 9 years later this is what will happen when you compost, and bring good dirt in.
Using your creativity, meditate, listen to the surroundings, ask for guidance, and work with what is already there.
I’m not kidding, that used to be a brick patio.
So we gathered up the bricks and gave them to our neighbor who needed some bricks.
Outlined the garden with sandstone rocks, we found in the area.
Later our neighbor gave us some little metal fencing to surround our garden and protect it from deer and LoveV, my daughter’s athletic Boston Terrior.
Other than that, we have started some plans from seed and some plants are from community Gardens. Every year, I’ve let some things go to seed and they come up again next year.
When you grow a garden, it’s not just seasonal. A garden can grow here after year. And you can always add more to it while sharing scenes and clippings with friends and neighbors.

Shortly after we moved into our home a few years ago, it was very little top soil.
