There are moments when words simply aren't enough.

Today, our hearts are with our partners and friends at the Larimer County Sheriff's Office as they mourn a profound and heartbreaking loss of two of their own and a family member traveling with them.

The people behind the badge were more than public servants. They were teammates, mentors, friends, and loved ones. They dedicated their lives to serving others and making Northern Colorado a better place.

The TVEMS family grieves alongside our LCSO family. We stand with every deputy, every employee, and every loved one navigating the unimaginable loss of these remarkable individuals.

To our brothers and sisters at LCSO: You do not carry this burden alone. We are here for you, today and in the difficult days ahead.

Please keep the families, friends, and members of the Larimer County Sheriff's Office in your thoughts and prayers.πŸ’™

Larimer County, we’re heartbroken to share information about a sudden and tragic loss within our agency.

On June 16, an LCSO Deputy, Sergeant, and Sergeant’s family member were vacationing together on a motorcycle trip. The men were traveling on a North Idaho scenic highway when a pickup truck attempted to pass another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone. The truck crossed the double yellow centerline and collided with the motorcycles, killing all three riders.

The truck driver was arrested and booked into the Idaho County Jail on three counts of vehicular manslaughter. Idaho State Police are investigating this crash.

Out of respect for their families’ strong desire for privacy, we aren’t identifying the deputies at this time.

There are no good words in a situation like this. Put simply, these were incredible people who dedicated their lives to making Larimer County better every single day. They trained hard, they served well, and they loved life. As we walk the long and winding path of grief alongside their families, our resolve is stronger than ever:

For them, we’ll bring light into dark places.
For them, we’ll stand for good and fight against evil.
For them, we’ll live each day with gratitude and carry their legacy forward.

Rest easy, brothers. We’ve got it from here.

πŸ‘‹ Hey Loveland! πŸš‘

Is your neighborhood participating in Community Night Out this year?

If so, keep an eye out for Thompson Valley EMS crews! We'll be visiting several neighborhoods throughout the evening, and we'd love the chance to meet you!😎

Stop by, say hello, check out an ambulance, ask questions, and get to know the people who serve your community every day. While many people meet us during stressful moments, Community Night Out gives us the opportunity to connect, share a few smiles, and build relationships with the neighbors we are honored to serve.

Community Night Out is one of our favorite local traditions because it brings people together, and strong communities start with strong connections!

When seconds matter, having more people trained to save lives can make all the difference.

Recently, members of Thompson Valley EMS's Tactical EMS (TEMS) Team, Lt. Noah Powell and Associate Paramedic Kevin Meadows, spent time with the newest officers of the Loveland Police Department, providing hands-on training in Stop the Bleed, CPR, AED awareness, and Narcan administration.

Many people know our TEMS Team for supporting law enforcement during high-risk operations and SWAT incidents. But their role extends far beyond those specialized calls.

Every new Loveland Police Officer receives lifesaving medical training from our TEMS providers, helping equip them with the skills and confidence to act during critical moments before EMS arrives. Whether it's controlling severe bleeding, recognizing an opioid overdose, or starting CPR, these officers become an extension of the chain of survival.

We often talk about teamwork in public safety, and this is what it looks like: EMS and law enforcement working side-by-side to create more lifesavers in our community.πŸ’™β€

Because when an emergency happens, the best outcome starts with having the right people, with the right training, in the right place at the right time. πŸš‘πŸ€πŸš”

When a fire breaks out, there's a lot more happening than what you see from the road.

On Monday, June 1st, Thompson Valley EMS crews responded to a barn fire in our district alongside our partners at Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District, and the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.

While firefighters work to contain the blaze, our role is to help protect the people battling the fire. A TVEMS ambulance and command unit are automatically dispatched to confirmed structure fires so we can coordinate with Incident Command, monitor the scene for medical needs, and provide firefighter rehabilitation and medical evaluations when needed.

Fighting fire is physically demanding work. Extreme heat, heavy gear, dehydration, and exhaustion can quickly take a toll. Our crews are there to ensure firefighters remain healthy, hydrated, and ready to continue their mission safely.

Thankfully, this incident ended without injuries to firefighters, residents, or animals. While the structure was ultimately lost, we're grateful for the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies and for an outcome that kept everyone safe.

Sometimes the most important part of our job is helping ensure that no one needs an ambulance ride at all. β€οΈπŸš‘πŸ”₯

πŸŽ‰ Headed to Berthoud Day? So are we! πŸš‘

All day today, you'll find the Thompson Valley EMS team at Berthoud Day, one of Berthoud's favorite hometown traditions! From the parade and family activities to local vendors, food, and live entertainment, it's always a fantastic day to celebrate community.

While we're there helping support the event's medical needs, we're also looking forward to meeting our neighbors, answering questions, showing off some EMS equipment, and talking about the work we do every day to serve our community.

So if you see us out and about, stop by and say hello! We'd love to meet you, snap a photo, and chat for a few minutes (bonus points if you can stump us with an EMS question πŸ˜‰).

We can't wait to spend the day with the Berthoud community. See you at Berthoud Day! β€οΈπŸš‘

πŸš‘β€οΈ June 1 is officially National CPR & AED Awareness Day in the City of Loveland! β€οΈπŸš‘

Just a few weeks ago, on May 19, the City of Loveland officially proclaimed today as National CPR/AED Awareness Day, recognizing something incredibly important:

Ordinary people can do extraordinary things in an emergency.

When someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest, every second matters. Immediate CPR and early AED use can dramatically improve survival, and the person standing closest may be the one who makes all the difference.

At Thompson Valley EMS, we see firsthand how powerful early action can be. CPR is not just a skill. It is confidence. It is courage. It is giving someone a fighting chance.

Inspired by the proclamation? Ready to learn a skill that could help save a life?

πŸ«€ Our next CPR/AED class is THIS Tuesday, June 2, and we still have a few spots available!

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, coach, teacher, caregiver, or simply someone who wants to be prepared, this class is for you.

Because someday, someone you love may need you.

πŸ‘‰ Reserve your spot today: tvems.org/education
