The team spent time working with several of our current children and OVV alumni as part of an ongoing research project to advance the field of deaf education. We are honored to support research that helps improve outcomes for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and grateful to the families who participated.

🌟 Now Hiring: Preschool & Early Elementary Program Aide

Are you looking for a meaningful career where you can make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families?

Ohio Valley Voices is seeking a Teaching Aide to support our Toddler through Early Elementary programs. OVV is a nonprofit early-intervention center dedicated to helping young children who are deaf or hard of hearing learn to listen and speak through evidence-based Listening and Spoken Language approaches.

In this role, the Program Aide will support classroom activities and help create an engaging learning environment for our students. Responsibilities include interacting with children during structured activities, assisting with classroom preparation, and supporting daily care needs.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a collaborative and mission-driven team committed to empowering children who are deaf or hard of hearing and the families who support them.

✨ National Disability Independence Day ✨

What does independence look like?
For some, it's ordering lunch on their own. 🍎
For others, it's making a new friend on the playground. 🛝
It's reading a favorite book, asking a question in class, or confidently sharing an idea. 📚💬

Today, on National Disability Independence Day, we celebrate the many ways individuals with disabilities learn, grow, communicate, and participate fully in their communities.

At Ohio Valley Voices, we know that every child's journey is unique. While all of our children are deaf or hard of hearing, many also have additional disabilities. That's why we focus on the whole child—helping each one develop the communication, literacy, social, and self-advocacy skills they need to thrive. 💙

🐐🐰 There were lots of smiles (and a few happy squeals) at OVV today! 🐷🐥

The children—and the staff—loved meeting all the furry and feathered friends when The Party Animal Express brought the petting zoo to OVV. There was plenty of laughter and excitement as everyone got up close with some adorable animals.
