I have so much more to say but for now…I’ll just say I’m in process and so happy to be here. First white card in competition. ♥️

🍿Here’s your yoga snack for today! This breathing practice is a way to concentrate the mind around the quick exchange of inhaling from the nose to the mouth until you’re full. Then we’ll exhale through the mouth.

😮‍💨It feels a little bit like a brain game right at first. Try it out and see if that doesn’t focus your mind into the present moment

One minute can change the way that we feel… body, heart and mind!

Thanks for practicing with me here!

Cool down with me!

🍿Here’s your yoga snack for today! Let’s cool things down with “Sitali” breath.

🧘‍♀️Sit upright and decide if you’re either going to curl the tongue or purse the lips. This breath we bring in through the mouth and we breathe out through the nose.

🐌Slowing down your inhale and lengthening, your exhale helps calm the inner state… Cooling the body, the heart and the mind.

🔥Sometimes we have an inflammation around our thoughts around our emotions inside the body, and this breath helps us settle and steady ourselves.

🙏🏻Let me know if you tried it in the comments below! Thanks for practicing with me!

Here is a quick yoga tip exploring and progressing your wide leg forward fold (upavishta konasana)

Try to open the legs to 90 degrees and notice the knees and toes. Have them facing the ceiling. Then find your sitting bones and use the arms behind you to support the spine. That’s already a fold in the hips! If that’s a big stretch then you found a shape worth staying in and exploring.

If you can fold forward a little give that try but don’t bypass what you sense and try to push into the shape. Take your time and work with your tissues, not against them.

Thanks for practicing with me!
