Our Book Fair is officially here, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🎉 There’s something for everyone — from picture books to chapter books and everything in between.
The Book Fair will be open after school during Parent-Teacher Conferences:

Dinner over break is always a challenge! Take the night off cooking on Tuesday, December 23 and visit the Qdoba on 29th street from 4-8pm to support Garfield Elementary!

Meet with us in the library for our PIE/PTA Night. At PIE we will be discussing our School Improvement Plan while at PTA we will be discussing the use of funds from Jog-a-thon, upcoming events, etc.

Another really cool Garfield community event is coming up! Stinging Nettle and Urban Field Pizza Night!

Though these nights do give a kickback to our school, the main reason we schedule them is to have a night where families will likely run into each other and enjoy an evening out together. We also have the super special opportunity of supporting the Stinging Nettle, a business owned by a Garfield family!

So save the date, stock up on your favorite back to school remedies to support wellness throughout the year, and enjoy a pizza just a couple of doors down at Urban Field!!!

WOW Garfield! We had SO MUCH FUN at the Jog-a-thon assembly today!

Thank you so much to the friends and family who joined us. At the assembly we got to share that we SMASHED our goal of $15,000. Our Garfield community raised over $19,000! Right now we sit at $19,288, but a few donations are still trickling in.

A shout out to Ms Spidel's class who had the highest class earner average at $143 raised per student to reach $3,309!
A big shout out to Ms. Carr whose class took second with an average of $127 per student to reach $1530, and to Ms. Elias whose class took third with an average raised of $112 to reach $1,570.

We hope all of drawing item winners are thrilled with their winnings and we cant wait to come up with memorable, wacky and fun ideas for Ms. Sather to do since we met our goal.

I want to thank you again Garfield community for your generosity. It is the PTA's promise this money will be spent responsibly and used to impact the life of every student and staff at our amazing neighborhood school!
