Thompson Valley High School 1/4 Mile Club

Well, with the weather and colder temperatures rolling in it is time to talk about another date for the Club's car show. I have checked with the school and on May 13th there will be no events at the school. That means we can avoid foul balls hitting windshields, or a parking lot already full for an athletic event. I hope this works for everyone and we appreciate your support. We look forward to seeing all of the cars on May 13th.

The club has been getting ready for the 2nd Annual 1/4 Mile Club Car Show, but we are starting to think that this Colorado weather might throw us a curve ball. There have been several options that I am considering as far as re-scheduling the event. I have a few things to check on before I decide but will post the information regarding "Plan B" as soon as possible.

Thompson Valley quarter mile club is looking for sponsors to help out with this years racing season. We are planning a car show for April 29, 2017 (Including food, drinks, and a raffle). We're selling T-shirts and hats as well. We would like to open our doors to any students that would like to learn about drag racing, cool cars, teamwork, and safe racing procedure

Sparks are flying here at Thompson Valley! Doing a little bit of welding and cleaning up on the Chassis.

Decided to go with our plans and having a car show. Come down, have a hot dog, and look at some cars. Better yet, bring a car down.

Well, Mother Nature tried to throw a wrench in our plans but I think we are going to go ahead with the plan for the car show. It might be a bit chilly but if we don't get any wet weather between now and 11 a.m. tomorrow it should be fun. Bring your car if you would like. We will be grilling hot dogs, raffling T-shirts, and handing out awards. We hope to see everyone there. Email [email protected] for questions.

CAR SHOW!

The Thompson Valley 1/4 Mile Club is going host a car show at Thompson Valley's parking lot on March 19th. The show will start at 11a.m. and wrap up around 4p.m. For more information about entering a car please contact me at 970-613-7926 or [email protected]

After last night's meeting we have decided on a few exciting events and services to help fund the club. The students are looking at having a car show in March, vehicle detailing/exterior cleaning service, and some club merchandise available for purchase. More details to come in the future.

Some folks have asked about buying shirts from the club. We are selling the shirts for $20 apiece and they have the club's logo on the front and the "Pit Crew" names on the back. You can contact me at [email protected] to order shirts if you don't have a student in the club to contact. All proceeds go to funding the club and their build up of the Camaro.
