Introducing - the Dragon Cuff!!

This is a custom cuff for a client I met at the Colorado Medieval Festival in Loveland last month. It started as, “can you engrave a dragon within a circle?” that led to “maybe you could engrave a photo of my horse, named Dragon?”
(I mean seriously, that’s an AWESOME name for a horse!!)
Then it became, “Hey! Could you do dragon scales instead??”
“I don’t know, but I’ll figure it out!”

I’m so stoked with how this cuff turned out!!! *chefs kiss*

Back to school is in full swing for most of us, which means our mornings just got a little more chaotic.

“What’s the difference between the lined and non-lined cuffs?”

I got this question recently and realized I had never really posted about it!

So, here we go:
The non-lined cuff is unfinished on the underside. This means that the “raw” leather is against your skin. Sometimes the underside of the hide is nice and consistent, sometimes it’s a little more raw with scraggly bits. Also, the bottom of the snaps are against your skin, which may leave slight discoloration on your arm.

The lined cuffs have a thin leather all along the underside of the cuff, making a nice, smooth finish against your skin. It also covers the bottom set of snaps, so you don’t have any metal touching your skin.

The lined cuffs use a slightly thinner leather and are ~1/4 inch longer than the unlined cuffs (to accommodate for the extra leather material).
