Quid Novi's Preventing Self-Harm event, tonight!

We'll bring together professional and personal perspectives to have an honest discussion about identifying warning signals, reacting carefully, and encouraging one another. Additionally, you will learn basic strategies for preventing self-harm and identifying suicidal thoughts and behaviors.

Included are executive coach and psychologist Dr. Pat Williams, as well as the late police captain Dave Davison's wife and daughter, Lana Davison and Kari Davison-Wall.

NEXT TUESDAY: A conversation worth having.

Talking about su***de and self-harm isn't easy. Sometimes we avoid the subject because we don't know what to say or how to help.

Next Tuesday, September 29, Quid Novi is bringing this important conversation into the open.
Preventing Self-Harm will feature Lana Davison and Kari Davison-Wall, the wife and daughter of the late police Captain Dave Davison, along with psychologist and executive coach Dr. Pat Williams.

Together, they'll share personal experiences and professional perspectives as we explore how to recognize when someone may be struggling, how to respond, and what we can do as a community to support one another.
You don't need to be an expert to be part of this conversation. Sometimes being willing to listen and learn is where it starts.

Some conversations are hard to have. But that doesn't mean we should avoid them.

Su***de and self-harm can be difficult subjects to talk about. We may worry about saying the wrong thing, bringing up painful memories, or simply not knowing how to begin.

On September 29, at our next showcase, Quid Novi is creating a place to begin that conversation.

Preventing Self-Harm brings together Lana Davison and Kari Davison-Wall, the wife and daughter of the late police Captain Dave Davison, along with psychologist and executive coach Dr. Pat Williams. They'll share personal experiences and professional perspectives as we talk about su***de prevention, recognizing when someone may be struggling, and what we can do as friends, families, and a community to help.

Understanding, listening, and being willing to talk openly are important places to start.

The plague of su***de affects all ages, all populations. The rate among the elderly in Larimer County is 21.4 per 100,000. Su***de affects people as young as 15, although people in the 45-54 age category experience the most.

Quid Novi will explore the topic that haunts many families and individuals; in fact, virtually everyone has a self-harm story that they don’t talk about.

Joining Quid Novi on Sept. 29 will be Lana Davison and Kari Davison-Wall, the wife and daughter, respectively, of the late police Captain Dave Davison. Also present will be Dr. Patrick Williams, a psychologist and executive coach.

Join us as we discuss the topic "Preventing Self-Harm."
