Last week we had some VERY Hungry Caterpillars at our Eric Carle summer camp! ππ¦π
The kids read a different Eric Carle book each day and made a craft to match each book. We had some Very Busy Spiders and Very Quiet Crickets visit too! π·π»π¦
And of course, at CMH there's always Montessori materials for our Pre-Primary kiddos to play with and explore their senses as they stack and build.
For me though, it was all about the hats π I can't get over how cute they all were!!!πππ₯

Our summer campers were struck with Media Madness last week as they painted, drew, sculpted and explored any and every way to make pieces of art. πβ¨οΈπ¨
From canvas to clay, our campers left their marks big and small π©βπ¨
Thank you to Emily and Gina for hosting a fantastic camp where students challenged their ideas, expanded their skills and put creativity to work π

πΏπΎ Join the Adventure with Jr. Park Rangers! πΎπΏ
This summer, our young explorers discovered what it means to be true stewards of the land through our Jr. Park Rangers Summer Camp!
Campers learned how to care for our natural spaces, protect wildlife habitats, and develop a deeper appreciation for the plants and animals that call our campus home. Through hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, and exciting wildlife encounters, participants gained the knowledge and skills to help preserve nature for future generations of students.
From learning about local ecosystems, observing our on site naturalist safely catch and release a rat snake (non-venomous) and discovering methods for responsibleconservation, every day is an opportunity to connect with nature and make a positive impact.

Nothing says CMH like CREEK DAY! Our students had a blast turning over rocks, spotting tiny creatures, building dams, splashing through the water, and discovering the wonders of the natural world one muddy step at a time. π¦ππΈ
These moments of curiosity, connection, and outdoor play are where confidence grows and learning comes alive. The creek reminds us to slow down, observe closely, and appreciate the beauty all around us. ππͺ΅
Wet boots, muddy clothes, happy hearts. Thatβs a successful day at Children's Meeting House ππ

We love when our parents bring their knowledge and skills into the classroom to help our students grow! One pre-primary parent who is a professional perfumer taught our kiddos all about the science of smell β¨οΈπβ¨οΈ Students learned about the relationship between smell and taste, practiced matching mystery scents and compared "yummy" and "yucky" scents with some fun scratch and sniff stickers. We are so thankful for our talented and generous parents for creating these unique opportunities at CMH

Today we celebrate the incredible work of our middle school students, who helped build a chicken coop, a greenhouse and recycling hub that will benefit our school and community for years to come! π±β»οΈπΊ
Through teamwork, creativity, and hard work, these students turned ideas into action and created spaces that promote sustainability, environmental responsibility, and hands-on learning. The greenhouse and chicken coop will provide opportunities to grow and learn about plants, local food production and food systems, while the recycling hub encourages all of us to reduce waste and care for our planet. ππ₯π
We are so proud of these students and for our outstanding middle school teachers Rene and Mark for leading by example and showing that even small actions can make a big impact. Thank you for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to building a greener future! ππ³ππ©πΎβπΎ

πDirector for the Day! π
Today, one of our sweet pre-primary students got to be Director for the Day! From greeting friends at carline with big smiles to introducing the Middle School play, she did such a wonderful job showing kindness, leadership, and lots of pre-primary pride! ππ₯°
Our fearless leader worked so hard that she tired herself out by the end of the day and enjoyed a little rest in her classroom. π΄π€
We loved watching our little leader shine and bring so much joy to everyoneβs day. What a fun and memorable experience! πβ¨
Help us celebrate our adorable Director for the Day with a β€οΈ or π in the comments!

π₯π Egg Drop Challenge Day! ππ₯
Our students put their creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills to the test during todayβs Egg Drop Challenge! From padded capsules to plastic straw cages, each design was built with one mission in mind: keep the egg from cracking on the way down! π₯β¬οΈ
We loved seeing the excitement, problem-solving, and innovation happening all around campus. Great job to all of our future engineers and inventors! π
Which design do YOU think worked best? Drop your guesses in the comments!

3rd grade is such a special time here at CMH as our students graduate from Lower Elementary and begin a new phase in their education journey. We like to commemorate this time with the 3rd grade celebration where older students stay to enjoy extra recess, pizza dinner, pottery painting and a late night roller skating party at our beloved castle skateland! πΌππ¨π
