Vision Statement: Shiloh Charlotte Mason Academy exists to come alongside families in helping children become well-rounded adults through a living education- teaching children how to learn and value the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, all for the glory of God. Mission Statement: Our mission at SCMA is to inspire and equip children to become lifelong learners and excel to their full potential. We provide a living education through rich and rigorous curriculum in a safe, purposeful atmosphere. We care about what kind of adults our students will grow up to be, and what their journey is like along the way. We believe that God’s word is the truth and are a Christ-centered school; we value each student as a complete person, made in the image of God. Our school strives to prepare students to be of virtuous character and to be responsible, perceptive, vital members of society, in rich relationship with God, others, themselves, and the natural world. Shiloh exists to be a school which parents feel at peace about sending their children to, and where children can learn in a peaceful environment- being guided and inspired to learn rather than anxiously trying to meet the arbitrary standards of Common Core testing. In the Bible, Shiloh has multiple spellings and more than one meaning. It refers once to a Messianic title (Genesis 49:10) and is also mentioned as a town in Ephraim (Joshua 18:1). The Biblical town of Shiloh is well-known for being the first seat of government of the invading Israelite forces under the leadership of Joshua, where a tent of meeting was set up and judges were seated.
