⚠️ WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO? ⚠️
Choking is fast, silent, and terrifying. If an adult or child over 1 year old is conscious but cannot breathe, speak, or cough, you need to step in using the "5-and-5" rescue method.Swipe through to learn the exact steps to save a life.
🔴 THE 5-AND-5 PROTOCOL:
1️⃣ 5 BACK BLOWS: Support their chest, lean them forward, and use the heel of your hand to strike firmly between their shoulder blades.
2️⃣ 5 ABDOMINAL THRUSTS: Stand behind them, wrap your arms around their waist, place your fist just above their belly button, and pull sharply inward and upward.
3️⃣ REPEAT: Keep switching between 5 blows and 5 thrusts until the object is cleared.🚨 Crucial Note: If they lose consciousness, lower them gently to the ground, call 911 immediately, and begin CPR.📌 Save this post right now so it's always in your library, and share it to your stories—you never know whose life you might save today.Disclaimer: This post provides educational information under AHA/Red Cross guidelines and is not a substitute for hands-on, certified first aid training.
