As you plan your route to school tomorrow, please read the below related to the Aiken Road & Arnold Palmer closure that begins tomorrow.

Stopher Elementary leadership has been in communication with community partners regarding
the upcoming closure of the intersection at Aiken and Arnold Palmer Blvd for the roundabout
project. The closure will begin August 6, 2026, the first day of school. Please see the attached
map for guidance on a possible detour route that will support your family getting to Stopher given
the closure.

Stopher’s approved car rider queue will not change. Cars will enter Lake Forest and line up on
Landmark Drive, the primary route for car riders. Families should not line up on Arnold Palmer.
From Landmark, cars will cross the four-way stop at Arnold Palmer and then continue across
Aiken Rd. LMPD’s crossing guard will direct the flow of traffic to help you safely cross Aiken Rd. to
enter the car rider line on the property. This will effectively allow for a straight shot onto the
Stopher campus. LMPD’s crossing guard will NOT allow drivers to turn left or right into the school’s
entrance from Aiken Rd.

Orientation is tomorrow. Check you email with details about the event.

Families are invited to bring the following:

✏️School supplies
🪪Photo ID (to pick up car rider tags)
🩹Medicines as appropriate - daily/emergency
📄Completed forms

At orientation, families will complete necessary paperwork, turn in school supplies (supply list in comments), and meet their teachers! Can’t wait to connect with you!
