Today we’d like to take a moment to remember those that have served in our military and given their lives in the service of our country. We hope that today their families feel our love and support. We will never forget their dedication and sacrifice for our nation.

Yesterday our soccer team finished their season with a tournament at the LouCity Soccer Foundation Fields with a win! They ended their tournament 1-1 only losing to the championship team in a penalty shootout. Huge thanks to Coach Brie, Coach Sivado, and Coach Massey for working with this great, young team.

Today our Girls on the Run Club met at E.P. Tom Sawyer park for their end of the year 5K event. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans and they weren’t able to run, but these girls and their coaches showed up big and ready to go! Huge thanks to the families for bringing these girls out on a Saturday for this event and to Ms. Corley and Ms. Totten for hosting this club and training the girls.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! This is the time of year that we take a moment to thank the professionals that make all
other professions possible. Take some time this week to thank a teacher that has made a difference in your life or is making a difference in your child’s life. Smyrna has some of the best! Thank you Smyrna teachers and staff for educating our future!

Tomorrow all 3rd-5th grade students begin their important annual KSA testing. This is your child’s chance to show what they know and what they have learned this year. See the graphic for tips to make this week go a bit more smoothly. K-2 will also be taking their spring MAP tests this week. Please help us by encouraging your students to focus, work hard, and make good choices while we push through to the end of school.
