Our Musical Theater Camp is bringing "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" to the Goshen Campus stage this Thursday, June 18, at 1:30 p.m., and you're invited!

Based on the bestselling novel by Rick Riordan, this high-energy musical follows Percy Jackson as he discovers he’s a demigod and sets out on a quest to recover Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt before a war erupts among the gods.

Filled with unforgettable music, larger-than-life characters, and plenty of mythological mayhem, this rockin’ performance showcases the hard work and creativity of our talented campers. The performance is free and open to the public, so come support our young performers as they take the stage for an afternoon of music, adventure, and fun!

Francis Parker School of Louisville art students once again participated in Downtown LOU's public street piano program, Downtown Tunes, painting two playable pianos inspired by Louisville institutions.

This year’s designs include a baseball-themed piano outside of the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory and a Thunder Over Louisville-themed piano near the Louisville Visitor Center at 4th and Jefferson.

At this morning’s press conference outside the Slugger Museum, student-artists helped unveil the baseball-themed piano, complete with a spirited rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

The pianos are part of Downtown Tunes, a public art initiative that places playable pianos throughout downtown Louisville for the community to enjoy daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

2026 PRESCHOOL CAMPS: A Season of Wonder

This summer, we invite campers into five weeks of hands-on exploration, creativity, discovery, and joyful play. Each week is thoughtfully designed around a theme that sparks curiosity and encourages imagination — from nature and art to science, community, and storytelling.

With engaging projects, collaborative experiences, and our beloved midweek water play, campers will build friendships, confidence, and lasting summer memories. It’s a season filled with wonder, laughter, and meaningful learning — the perfect blend of play and discovery.

PRESCHOOL CAMP SESSIONS

Session 1: Wonder in Nature
June 1 – June 5 / 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Campers will explore the magic of the natural world through hands-on discovery! From sensory tables and scavenger hunts to leaf printing and nature weaving, we will create, build, and observe. We’ll end the week with a mini campsite adventure and a beautiful Nature Art Walk to celebrate our discoveries.

Session 2: Wonder in Art
June 8 – June 12 / 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
This week is all about creativity in action! Campers will experiment in a color mixing lab, collaborate on a large-scale mural, and design their own sculptures. Wednesday’s “Water as Art” transforms spray bottles, watercolor, and ice into creative tools. We’ll wrap up the week with a Pop-Up Art Gallery where campers will proudly showcase their masterpieces.

Session 3: Wonder in Science
June 15 – June 18 / 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Curiosity leads the way as campers become little scientists!
