Suzuki Steps - Baby/Toddler Class

Music classes for ages newborn through 3 years, along with their parents, which follows the traditional Suzuki Early Childhood Education concepts. (SECE)

These are music classes for babies’ ages 0 through 3 and their parent. Using traditional nursery rhymes, action songs, lullabies and instruments these classes seek to build on the child’s natural delight in learning and lay the foundation for musical skills such as beat, rhythm, pitch and tone. Through parent/child interactions and class participation, students start to acquire attributes of trust, sharing, success, and communication. These classes will be led by Blaise Poth and Jennifer Shackleton
Both of these teachers are on faculty with the Community Music Program at the University of Louisville and also musicians with the Louisville Orchestra.
