University of Louisville Horn Studio

Congratulations to Macey Rickles on her summer placement of principal horn with the Manchester Community Band in Saint Louis. Macey will play under Chris Becker and perform various standards for wind band. This will undoubtedly be a great asset to the final year of her degree in music education. First up, Jager Espirt De Corps!!

Macey has also been selected to coach UofLs middle school wind institute, where she will coach horns and teach music theory. Bravo!!!!

We’re thrilled to welcome Mia Lundin to the studio starting fall of 2026! Mia comes to us from Illinois where she brings an extensive background in horn, education, violin, and so much more. We’re ecstatic to have her with us in the - welcome and go cards!

Intro #3: we’re thrilled to welcome Kristan Robertson into the studio for music education! Kristan comes to us from Tennessee where she’s partaken in various musical and education-based endeavors. We’re excited to have her here! Welcome and go cards.

Studio introduction #2: We’re thrilled to welcome Jillian Griffin to our studio next fall! Jillian comes to UL with a vast array of arts and leadership experience and we can’t wait for her to join our community. Welcome and go cards!

We are elated to welcome Aliza Wilson into the studio starting in Fall of 2026. Aliza comes to us with a wealth of experience in music and academic work, and we’re thrilled she’s part of our community. Congratulations and go cards!

Congrats to Allie Dunn and Cameron Smith on their commencements today!! These two have shown exceptional grit, growth, and so much more in their time here are undoubtedly slated to make a great change in the world. Proud of you both, and don’t be strangers ❤️. Here’s to the next chapter!

We are extremely fortunate at UofL to have so many great musicians in our community and the Louisville Orchestra’s Brooke Ten Napel is absolutely one of them. She came in for a quick touch up for those who have auditions upcoming or post recital check ins — and we’re so glad she did. Thanks for your time!
