Our Mercy Exchange Ambassadors Program advisors, Katie Culver '00 and Jared Ramirez, had the opportunity to visit Colegio Santa Ethnea, our partner school in Argentina for this amazing student program! 🇦🇷🏫 This experience gave Katie and Jared a glimpse of what our students experience when they travel to Argentina for that portion of the exchange program. Here are some highlights from the trip:

🏫 Observed classes, met school directors, and got a school tour
✝️ Shared and discussed ideas with exchange program coordinators
🇦🇷 Toured Buenos Aires and experienced their rich culture in numerous ways
🍽️ Had a cookout with Santa Ethnea faculty and staff
🙏 Participated in Mercy Day activities, including mass, and observed a tradition where students go door-to-door in the neighborhood to share a gospel message

One of the best highlights of the trip was the reunion with the Santa Ethnea students who were with us at Assumption last school year! 💖 Jared and Katie remarked that each piece of the trip could only be what it is because of the amazing people in the community of Colegio Santa Ethnea. We are so glad they got to learn and connect with our MAP counterparts, and we can't wait to see how the program continues to grow and greatly impact both of our communities! 🚀

Thank you to all of our Rocket Shadows who attended our Fall Sports Preview today! 🚀 Preview days are a great way for Future Rockets to dive into their specific interests while experiencing a traditional shadow day ⭐

This morning, our guests heard from our Athletic Director, Lisa Pinkston. Then, they got to talk with any Fall sport coaches and players they wanted to learn more from! We absolutely love these moments when we get to welcome and come to know so many amazing Future Rockets 💗

During our Mercy Day Celebration last week, our Environmental Concerns Committee held their famous Slow Fashion Show! 🌼🌟🌿 This is an event our community looks forward to every year, and our models brought all the style, strut, and fashion!

This show features outfits that are thrifted, handcrafted, purchased from fair trade businesses, passed down, re-worn, and absolutely loved! We want to thank each of our students and faculty/staff members who participated in the show, and we can't wait for what the ECC has planned for the rest of the school year. 💗

Last week, Assumption hosted Future Rockets and their families for our annual Athletics Meet & Greet 🚀 Those who joined got to meet and hear from our Athletic Director, Lisa Pinkston, as well as talk with coaches and current AHS athletes.

It was an inspiring night of Rocket spirit and connection that is one of the many ways we show our Future Rockets and their families know that there is a place for them here 💗 Thank you all so much for attending!

Today we celebrated our Mercy heritage and values at our Mercy Heritage Celebration, and we had a very special guest - Catherine McAuley herself! ✝️ She shared how it's important to remember that making a difference in the world is not always about the big, grand actions we take, but mostly about the small but mighty decisions we make each and every day.

Assumption has been celebrating Mercy Heritage Week, which has included focusing on a different Critical Concern of the Sisters of Mercy each day. Today's prayer service is a great way to wrap up the amazing experience that began on Monday, while also serving as a reminder that each of us can be the change we wish to see in the world, especially if we embody the values of our Mercy Heritage and Catherine McAuley! 👏

Every year, a senior, junior, sophomore, faculty member, and staff member are nominated for Assumption's Model of Mercy Award ✝️ The awards are announced at our annual Mercy Heritage Celebration, spotlighting our Models of Mercy, who are people that embody spirituality and compassion. They are role models who lead by example, especially in faith, service, positivity, and inclusivity. 💗
