Who’s hungry? We’ll feed snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, and salamanders while exploring how each animal hunts, eats, and survives! When it comes to hands-on, immersive science, it just doesn’t get any better.

Check out Mr. Bags in these photos. Can you guess what he is doing resting his head on a log?

He is listening!!! That is right. A snake’s bottom jaw has a bone conducting connection to its inner ear allowing them to hear vibrations. So if a rat or even something larger touches the log, he will know to be alert and hope it comes in front of him.

Mr. Bags was named by the Baggett family when they won the right to name him in a naming auction. You can do the same with some incredible animals in our Halloween Naming Silent Auction.
