🇮🇳 Our Final Stop: India! 🇮🇳
We wrapped up our Summer Around the World journey with a very special visit to India!
Our children had a wonderful time experiencing Indian culture through hands-on activities. They made vegetable biryani, tried on traditional Indian clothing, listened to Indian music, learned traditional dance, and enjoyed colorful art activities inspired by India.
It was a fun and meaningful way for our children to experience a new culture and learn about the beautiful traditions that make our world so diverse.
What a wonderful way to end our Summer Around the World adventure! Namaste, India! 🇮🇳

Our little chefs took a trip to Canada by making kettle chip poutine! 🇨🇦🍁
Poutine is one of Canada’s most iconic dishes, traditionally made with crispy fries, cheese curds, and savory brown gravy. Today, our students explored those delicious flavors in a fun, child-friendly way using kettle chips! Through hands-on cooking, they discovered a new culture while building confidence, independence, and a love for trying new foods.
Learning comes to life when children can taste it!

Our students got their hands dirty today during one of our favorite enrichment activities—gardening! 🌱
Pulling weeds may seem like a simple task, but it teaches responsibility, patience, teamwork, and respect for the environment. By caring for our garden, children develop a deeper appreciation for nature while strengthening their fine and gross motor skills through meaningful, hands-on work.
In Montessori, every activity has a purpose, and today our students were proud to help our garden grow! 🌼💚

One simple character. A meaningful tradition.
Before many children in China begin primary school, they participate in a special First Writing Ceremony. During the celebration, they write the Chinese character "人" (rén), which means "person."
This week, our students experienced this tradition as they carefully practiced writing their own character.
Moments like these help children connect with people and traditions from around the world while discovering that learning can be meaningful, creative, and fun.
We hope our MKU families enjoy seeing these proud faces and first attempts at Chinese writing!

We ended our week in China by making delicious fried rice and creating beautiful lacquer fans! 🇨🇳 Our students loved exploring this traditional art form, where colorful lacquer floats on water to create a one-of-a-kind design on each fan.
What a fun way to wrap up another week of our Around the World adventure! 🌎❤️
